The Creative Journey

"For me, painting is more than creating images — it is a way of expressing devotion, emotion, and inner contemplation through art."

My Story

I am Malati Debnath, an artist driven by a deep love for colours, Indian culture, and spiritual expression. Every canvas I work on becomes an intimate journey where imagination meets feeling and soul finds visual form.

My artistic inspiration comes from classical Indian traditions, ancient mythology, and the silent rhythm of nature. I am particularly drawn toward spiritual themes, divine figures, and sacred storytelling, which allow me to connect art with peace, positivity, and meditation.

Philosophy & Medium

I work predominantly with fine acrylics, traditional oil paints, metallic gold leaf, and textured palette knives on heavyweight archival canvas. By balancing vivid sacred tones — deep cosmic blues, warm saffron, temple golds, and earthy ochres — my goal is to create paintings that become focal points of serenity in modern living spaces.

Chitrakala Hub was founded not merely as an online portfolio, but as a sanctuary where art lovers and collectors can connect directly with original Indian art without corporate intermediaries.
